Hello Windy City, we can’t wait to see you again!

Join us and over 300 other best of the best, amazing Makers from around the country (and beyond) at the always superb Renegade Craft Fair – Chicago Edition this Saturday September 6th & Sunday September 7th in Wicker Park. Renegade Craft Fair is a bona fide not-to-be-missed show, hooray! It’s free to attend, with lots of family (and dog!) friendly fun too.

We will be vending from Booth #30 on Division between Damen & Wolcott, with loads of our hand printed hand pulled silkscreen Art Prints, hand screen printed Rock Posters, hand pulled Alphabet Prints, Lunch Bags, Test Prints and more. So do come and say hello!

What: Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago, one of the largest curated gatherings of indie craft makers in the US.

Hello Chicago Renegade Craft Fair!

We’re back in the swing of craft & art show season things! And we couldn’t be more excited to be heading to Chicago, IL for the always amazing (and always free!) Renegade Craft Fair – Chicago edition, happening this Saturday & Sunday September 7th & 8th from 11am – to 7pm, both days.

The Renegade Craft Fair brings together over 300 of the best of the best of handmade makers and artists from all corners, setting up booths to meet, greet, and sell our work to the lovely people of the Midwest. This event is HUGE and not to be missed!

We will be there bright and early, and stayin’ late at Booth No. 6 (see our handy map below), so easy to find right near the corner of Division & Damen. Easy in, easy out. Come visit and say hello! We will have lots of hand illustrated and hand screenprinted Art Prints, Rock Posters, Alphabet Prints, Lunch Bear Bags, new greeting cards and more!

On the road again! We’re so thrilled to be a part of one of our favorite shows of the year, the amazing Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago, IL.

Join us and over 300 (yep! Amazing right?) of the most talented and cool makers of handmade awesome in the country & beyond. We will have lots of new prints and posters and more, so don’t miss out friend!

Renegade Craft Fair is FREE to attend.

 When: September 8+9, 2012 from 11am – 7pm each day

Where: Along Division Street from Damen to Paulina in Wicker Park for the biggest + best Renegade Craft Fair of them all!

What: We’ll have hundreds of today’s greatest indie makers along with interactive workshops, tasty local food + booze, music + more. Get ready, Chicago, it’s going to be the best RCF yet!

Why: Because handmade is best!

Check out this year’s lineup of amazingly talented artists!

Check out hands-on activities from Vogue Knitting (they’ll be leading make-and-take knitting workshops), the Chicago School of Shoemaking (you can stamp your own leather pieces and watch shoes being made by hand), Lillstreet Art Center (you can try your hand at using metal-stamping techniques to make your own pendant), the Student Art Therapy Association of SAIC (they’ll be leading worry doll-making workshops, a community weaving project, and a t-shirt necklace project), Girls Rock! Chicago (make a rad rock-and-roll button), the Urban Prairie Waldorf School (students from the school will be teaching you how to make jump ropes from organic fabrics), andPébéo (you can paint your own ceramic tile with their new paint pens). The Vintage Bazaar will host a pop-up vintage market at Renegade. Make sure to visit their section of the fair at Division and Wolcott.

Hello California Part 2: Los Angeles Renegade Craft Fair!

Los Angeles Renegade here we come! The amazing Renegade Craft Fair California Double-Whammy is still in effect with the upcoming 2nd show in our RCF California tour, Renegade Los Angeles!

Los Angeles Renegade takes place on 7/28 and 7/29 in the Los Angeles State Historic Park, (aka The Cornfield) featuring hundreds of top artists and crafters showing and selling their handcrafted work. Just for you! We’ll  have TONS of new prints and posters, as well and other goodies while vending and talking with lots of new and old friends. Renegade Craft Fair LA is not to be missed! Visit the awesome lists of artists here.

Renegade Craft Fair is always free to attend and full of super cool art, craft, lots of hands-on creative workshops by the Urban Craft Center, LA Zine Fest, and SideStreet Projects.  Capture a memory with the free photo booth provided by Magnolia Photobooth Co. Music by DJs from KXLU, tasty treats provided by LA’s best food trucks and there will even be opportunities to take adopt a new furry friend via Second Acts Animal Rescue! Hello California Part 1: San Francisco Renegade Craft Fair!

California Dreamin’ is our theme this July.

The amazing Renegade Craft Fair California Double-Whammy is happening with 2 huge, incredible craft fairs that bring the best in handmade, handcrafted artists and indie crafters to two cities: San Francisco on 7/21-7/22 and Los Angeles on 7/28-7/29. We are so excited and thrilled to be a part of these 2 amazing craft fairs, back-to-back weekends in NoCal & SoCal!

San Francisco Renegade here we come! Held at the incredibly cool Fort Mason Festival Pavilion, extending out into the beautiful Bay with spectacular views. SF Renegade is unlike any other show all year long. Come check us out at Booth # 215 on your left on the long wall.  We will have TONS of new prints and posters, as well and other goodies debuting in San Francisco. We’ll be vending and talking with lots of new and old friends along with over 250 wicked talented artists. Renegade San Francisco is not to be missed! Visit the awesome lists of artists here.

Renegade Craft Fair San Francisco is always free to attend and full of super cool art, craft, lots of hands-on creative workshops by the Urban Craft Center, The Museum of Craft & Design, Creative Bug & Peebeo.  Music by great SF DJs, tasty treats provided by SF favorites Tante’s, Neeto’s Cafe, Patti Wagon, and Rice, Paper, Scissors! and yes, plenty of adult beverages! On the road again! Hello Chicago! We’ve been so busy working on new things & packing that we almost forgot to post about our next craft fair, the awesome and 9th annual Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago. We’ll be in attendance and vending from our booth, #23, check the maps below, and we just can’t wait to see The Windy City again and be a part of the amazing Renegade Craft Fair once again this year.

Renegade Craft Fair is such a special and amazing, totally FREE event featuring over 300 artists working in just about every Handmade field and medium you can imagine. We’ll be among those lining 6 full blocks on Division St. in Wicker Park with a whole slew of fresh new prints, posters, and the debut of a new line of t-shirts for the little ones and the grown ups too. Well, thank you so much San Francisco! We had a lovely time in your city again, but it’s time to move on down the Pacific Coast Highway to Los Angeles for some more California Dreamin’ at the Renegade Craft Fair LA on July 16th & 17th this weekend.

We’ll be selling our hand silkscreen printed fresh rock posters, new art prints, our classic hand silkscreen printed alphabet prints, t-shirts for kids and grow-ups alike and much more. in Los Angeles at booth #26 (click here to see the larger LA vendor map!)

West Coast Renegade San Fran & LA Fairs, here we come!

California Dreamin’, that’s us this month. We’re taking the big step of doing not just one, but TWO Renegade Craft Fair shows on the beautiful California coastline! That’s right! We’ll be at both the San Francisco Renegade Craft Fair on July 9th & 10th and then we’re heading down the Pacific Coast Highway, taking the scenic and slow route to Los Angeles for the next installment of the Renegade Craft Fair LA on July 16th & 17th the following weekend too. It’s truly a business and pleasure trip and we’re super duper excited.

We’ll be at both shows selling our hand silkscreen printed fresh rock posters, new art prints, our classic hand silkscreen printed alphabet prints, t-shirts for kids and grow-ups alike and much more. Renegade Craft Fair Brooklyn, see you there!

Hoooray! Who doesn’t love a trip to the Big Apple? And Brooklyn’s just lovely this time of year.

We’re working around the clock to get ready for one of the biggest craft shows of the year, the super dupes Renegade Craft Fair, Brooklyn edition. We’re debuting a new series of giclee prints that we’ve been working on this Spring, as well as new rock posters, new art prints, and new a new line of baby & toddler tees too.  Can’t wait!

With over 300 of the best makers, crafters & artists from all over the world, the 7th annual Renegade in Brooklyn is sure to be a blast. Renegade Craft Fair is free to attend and very family friendly!

Renegade Holiday Craft Fair in Chicago!

Ok, first off? We’re super stoked to be heading back to Chicago to participate in one of our favorite shows, the Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Sale this coming weekend. And secondly? Hello? How adorable and rad is the illustration by Kate Sutton for the sale this year? I just love it, totally wintery and cozy all at once.

Anyhoo! We really are just thrilled Renegade Craft Fair Holiday Sale in Chicago again this year. We’ll be there vending with tons of new things and taking in the amazing talent of over 150 artists & crafters. So come on in out of the cold and say hello!

Renegade here we come! Come see strawberryluna in Chicago this weekend!

Zhboinga!! I’ll be there with bells on. Er, you know, metaphorically that is.

But I will be at the fantastic Renegade Craft Fair, in Chicago‘s lovely Wicker Park neighborhood this weekend both Saturday & Sunday from 11am – 7pm talking to folks and selling work. It’s a super fun time. Hope to see you there!

I’ve got a ton of new prints and posters, and they are raring to go to new homes. So come on out! Enjoy one of the nation’s biggest & brightest independent craft shows loaded with handmade talent. Seriously, the cream of the crop. And dudes, Renegade Craft Fair is HUGE. We’re talking 8 blocks of Division St. long, packed with over 300 working artists & crafters.

San Fran bound! Renegade Craft Fair SF, we’ll see you there :)

Hey lovely city of San Francisco, that I have never ever been to…can’t wait to meet you at the end of this month! That’s right, we here at strawberryluna are taking the plunge and adding another Renegade Craft Fair to our roster of craft shows that we’re doing this year. Super so duper excited to be accepted into this prestigious juried show too.

Tell me, what should do when we’re not working the booth at Renegade? I’m kind of partial to checking out the night tour of Alcatraz, as I’ve heard that it’s amazing. I’m also thinking about checking out the SF MoMA and the Cartoon Art Museum too, but welcome any suggestions. Please post comments and give us a shout out for other can’t-miss things to do and see in San Francisco, won’t you?

Renegade Craft Fair, Brooklyn – come see me June 5th & 6th!

ROMG I’m so excited to announce that I am returning to the fantastic Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn, New York this year! I’ve been lucky enough to participate in this exceptional show in 2006, 2007, and 2008, then skipping 2009 in favor of taking my first vacation for my birthday in 5 years (in London, Paris, & Le Mans = the only reason I missed Renegade Craft Brooklyn 2009.)

And now, I’m back baby!

Renegade Craft Fair is one of the premiere independent DIY showcases of all things art, craft, and handmade. Renegade Craft Fairs are held in several cities across the US every year – including Brooklyn, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles & Austin.  The fair is known for being one of the first events of its kind, and for having the top-notch indie-craft artists and designers who travel from all over the map to participate. Renegade got its start in Chicago’s Wicker Park in the fall of 2003, and has spread like wildfire ever since.

With over 300 artists coming together in historic McCarren Park in Brooklyn to sell our handmade work, this year’s Renegade Craft promises to be as amazing as ever, if not more so. There will live music and live craft demonstrations, as well as an hourly raffle of goodies at the Etsy booth too. AND!  Renegade Craft Fair is wide open to the public and 100 % FREE to attend too.

I’m going to have tons of new prints and posters, as well as lots of other new goodies too, from tshirts to tote bags and more. So come say hi!

* About Renegade: In the summer of 2007, Renegade opened the doors to a cute little storefront shop in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL called Renegade Handmade. Just wanted to give a bustass shout out to everyone in Chicago who came out and made this year’s Chicago Renegade Craft Fair so fun and so amazing. It’s always so great doing a busy show and getting to meet so many awesome people. I was a little overwhelmed with the idea of working this 2-day, outdoor festival solo, but man oh man, things could not have gone more smoothly. Perfect weather, lovely neighbors, and awesome shoppers. The crowd was really big, and everyone was super friendly and nice. What else could a craft show boother ask for?

I got a quick chance to step out into the crowds on Saturday & take this one. Busy all of the time!

A special thanks to Sue Daly & everyone else of Renegade for all of your hard work, I can’t imagine the monumental kitten herding feat it must be to bring this fair to order. You guys did a phenomenal job! And a double extra special thanks to my homies in Pittsburghtown, the little area of Renegade where fellow Pittsburgh Craft Collective crafters Rag Trader, garbella and Cosy Knits and myself were. Thanks for looking out for me, and most huge thanks to Rag Trader Beth &  her brother Joel, I could not have done it without you cats.

This trip was super special as it was the 2nd part of a 2 week show tour that I did with friends and fellow print and poster artists Hero Design & Delicious Design League too. Thanks for your hospitality Delicious! We love hanging around Chicago, as the photos while working and playing below can attest to. And there are more boring photos on my Flickr page here!

Over 300 artists are traveling from all over the country to participate and sell their handmade goods: from clothing and accessories, to stationery and concert posters, with everything from bath-products, ceramics and housewares in between! This FREE TO ATTEND DIY craft, art and design extravaganza occurs in one of Chicago’s liveliest neighborhoods, on its busiest block!
